| Why Windows CE ? The overwhelming feedback we
get from laptop users is:
- Most only use their laptop for e-mail,
occasional spreadsheet, some word processing, to send faxes, and to play Solitaire on the
plane.
- Most say they don't always take their
laptops on the road, because they are bulky, heavy and a pain to travel with, especially
in airports that require laptops to be turned on or removed from their case to be scanned.
- Most complain that the battery life is
insufficient to do any real work while traveling.
Our response with
Windows CE devices are:
- Windows CE devices allow you to do
e-mail, spreadsheets, word processing and send and receive faxes. Also use a digital voice
recorder, display PocketPowerpoint presentations, do handwriting recognition, check
calendars, to do lists, contact lists and browse the Internet. And solitaire (with sound
when you win).
- No one complains about taking a Windows
CE device anywhere. Especially since the airports that ask you to turn on your laptops
don't even ask to turn on a CE device. And if they ever do, the "instant on"
feature comes in handy.
- Windows CE devices offer "Instant
On" capability and reliability- starting immediately when the power switch is applied
-and return exactly to the point you left it when shutting down the last time.
- With 12 to 25 hours of actual use
battery time per charge, you can get a lot of work done. Windows CE battery usage is
measured in days more often than hours.
